Dixie is rearranging his bedding, in the car, while traveling from Philadelphia to Pleasant Valley!

This is MOJO, Dixie's little canine friend and our Granddaughter, Stephanie's puppy!  It's amazing how well they played together the first time they met!

This month we traveled to Philadelphia, PA, Pleasant Valley, NY, and Essex, VT, to visit with family and two stops included 3 doggy cousins in Philly and 2 doggy cousins in Essex! Needless to say, Dixie had a fine time with all his canine family and human family as well! This trip was memorable as we got to see our Great Grandson, James Joseph and his parents, our other grands and the kids who don't live in the South! Mary Jane moved here to Moore County, this past spring, so we have the luxury of a family member living nearby, after ten years! We do have two grands in the South, one in Columbia, SC and one in Charlotte, NC!

Dixie weathered the trip very well. He's a great traveler and very adaptable to changing surroundings! With the exception of some missed morning walks, which caused a bit of weight gain,and mooching from Sophie and Bentley's food supply whenever we were not looking, he was very well behaved! I do think the lack of activity and long car rides were most likely the culprit. We are working on getting back in shape every day, now!

Dixie got a new canine family member, Mojo, a Maltese/Poodle mix. They met about three weeks ago and had a great time playing together. I can't find his photo right now, but I will and post it very soon.

Dixie is six this year!
